Default SNC Pleads Guilty

I'm actually surprised by this. I expected them to fight and fight and fight.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montr...rges-1.5400542

But then we see why they pleaded guilty...

"The Crown is recommending that five other fraud and corruption charges filed against SNC-Lavalin, SNC-Lavalin Construction, and SNC-Lavalin International be dropped."

A pretty sweet deal...

I suggest the courts close SNC, have it auctioned off and send the proceeds to Alberta as the beginning of their equalization repayment.

Just imagine how busy the various members of SNC-Lavalin's bribe team have been recently?

Does this now prohibit them from government contracts?

I half expected them to be contracted to work on the TMX....

Wouldn't that be an ironic kick in the teeth.

They basically got their DPA. Plead guilty to one charge, pay a fine and all other charges are dropped. What a load of shat. I wonder how much they bribed the crown prosecutor.

That's a hell of a good idea. Lets start a petition.

All things equal, it will probably take a trip around the block, get laundered two or three times and right in the back door of SNC office.

Well my guess would be about 1/2 of it will somehow make it's way into the sparkle socks sock or trust fund as they call it, the rest probably make its way back to Saudi to pay off bribes or as they like to call them " consultant fee's "

I don't imagine they paid anything at all. I am sure the government rigged it (like everything else) so SNC pleads guilty and gets no punishment. That way the case does not go to court where a lot of underhand government dealings would come to light.
