Popsicle sticks and corn dog sticks are made with white birch and oak.

In Europe it could be beech.

Baltic birch is also used.

^ About 15-20 years ago, I stopped by my mechanic’s place and he was working on a vehicle with an “engine problem”. I clearly remember that it was a Ford minivan (Windstar? Don’t really remember what they were called). He showed me the stuff he was scraping out from the engine with a spoon. It looked similar, but not as jelly-ish. The minivan was less than two years old. I feel like it had about 40,000 km on it, but I don’t remember, so not going to lie. Anyway, the owner of the minivan apparently had no idea that one has to change oil on regular basis, so he never did since he bought it brand new. It looked a lot messier than that, but it was similar in texture, just not as real jelly like that.

Apparently as weird as it is, not as uncommon because I personally know a guy who had no clue about oil changes when he bought his first vehicle. He was shocked when I told him.

Default EV

I was reading an article on electronic vehicles booming like a model T Ford. It makes sense to have one base in which to build because assembly line. Only problem is, people demand choices for things as trivial as vehicles.

I have an uncle that has a little race car look alike. It's just a body on a VW Bug. I remember when he came over with it in the 70's and my dad laughing, I thought it was pretty cool, it was still a bug, just looked different.

I wonder if that could be done with the 'new Model T'? I would be the guy that takes an Avalanche or Sport Trac body, minus the box & front end and put it on the battery box. I think that would be pretty cool. That might be a good way to recycle bodies if the companies truly thought green, vice greenbacks, though I'd want my frankenbody job.

Now onto something more random...

I've wondered for years why, for example, Ford doesn't but a Ferrari, AM, Lamborghini, McLaren, etc., body on a Mustang, add $20k to the MSRP, and call it a day.

I wonder which English speaking military is going to adopt 'Ser' as a military transformation protocol for addressing officers? Would it catch on?

AOF website about us says

The purpose of Alberta Outdoorsmen is to keep the hunters, anglers and trappers of Alberta up-to-date on the news, issues and events that surround hunting, fishing and trapping in this province.

Why not list alphabetically with angling, hunting and trapping...?

Temperatures climbing into the high 30's low 40's. Yikes!!! Think cool thoughts. Those -10 temps would feel so nice.

Thank heavens that the first evening frosts are only 75 to 85 days away.
