lol....its a lure that was discontinued in 1996, then it sold for 10-14 bucks. now its tough to find. we rely on 2 lures for rainbow fishing and the water dog was the best imo.
we will no longer fish the dog with non experiened fisherman.....the billies will go out instead...lol.

Cool!

They seem a bit big for rainbows? But then again theres not much for scale in the picture.

Them hooks look great, never seen them either till now.
Do u know why they were discontinued??

im guessing we didnt buy enough...lol
i was told the die needed to be reworked and it wasnt cost effective

them are close but no cigar
need to be hollow plastic for ss beads and to tune for the twitch

Good to see you were able to find some, I know that feeling when you run out of that "special" lure. We had these few rapala lures that over use had a kinked tail and action that would just drive fish nuts. I was when I finally lost the last one.

I have never acually fished these lures. And have never targeted trophy rainbows that would warrent such a hook but i remember my old man used to use these (or something like them). and they didnt work at all. But then again he wasnt much of a fisherman.
