Default Hardwater Monsters

Alberta fishing this year has been great, hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Tight lines and be safe with the end of season approaching.

Some nice fish, I am gonna have to come down that way one of these days. Do you guys still catch lots of the big ones in open water or are they harder to find?

Someone posted this a year or so ago:

I wouldn't want to be under water with a pike close by like in pics 3, 5, and 7. It could probably take a chunk out of a human if its hungry enough.

The Loch Ness Monster need not apply!

Thank you everyone, nothing better than fishing friends and family. Ty, they are still around in open water just not as big and more spread out...odds are much better in the winter.

Nice fish looks like I'll have to start driving 5 hours south instead of 5 hours North to do some fishing

Yes something else Wayne...just hope it stays catch and release only. Its turning into one heck of a fishery!

No its a catch and release lake, im happy it is because if it wasnt people would be keeping some big fish. I like a good pike fry especially out of cold water, but a 5 to 6 pound max is better to take home for table fare. Leave the big girls where they belong, take some pictures.

Fully agree, the regs are helping turn a number of southern ab lakes into some special fisheries

Ancestry.com says your my long lost brother

Let me know what lake and where to meet you to discuss our missing years and what you used for bait.

Your brother, Dodger.

Thanks Gibson, it has been incredable! Were fortunate to have something like this at our fingertips and nothing id rather do than spend it outdoors with great people.
Speaking of that i think were way overdue on getting together, the amount of times i just missed you is crazy. The last one was at the sportsman show...one of these days were going to have to rip some lips!
