Default Necking up 260 Rem to 7-08

Does anyone see any problems making 7-08 brass from 260 Brass in a FL 7-08 die?

Can't recall doing that but it should be no problem. Check the trim length when done. Cycle the resized brass before charging to make sure it fits.

x2. You can get Lapua 7-08 brass for $115/100, Winchester is $95/100. I would sell the 260 and get the proper head stamped brass.

I assume the opposite is true with necking up, but my experience with necking down .308 to .264 is that the neck wall thickness increased significantly...which in turn, influenced neck tension and radial clearances. Anybody ever check the neck-up specs?

Necking up doesn't usually result in much change if you are only going 260 to 284, 224 to 243/6mm or less but if you start going from 308 to 338 you will see thinned necks.
