Default Butcher Recommendation

Hey Hunters,

Anyone have a trustworthy, competent butcher in the Calgary area that I can take wild game to in the upcoming season?

Rocky's Sausage Haus
37 - 4th St NE, Calgary, AB
(just north of river and just east of centre street)
I have gone there the last couple of years to have venison made into sausage and have been very happy with products. I simply bone out the meat, throw away the fat and heavy connective tissue (tendons, gristle, etc), put it into large freezer bags and freeze it. I usually deliver it in the new year (when things are less hectic for him).
He makes a wide variety of sausages.
Nice fellow, great product. I have no desire to go elsewhere.

You can drop them off gutted. I quartered and skinned mine and dropped it off. He has after hours drop off too.

He got caught up in the pork recall, but he made things right and I won't hesitate to continue to bring my animals there, and recommend him to other people.

Brought our elk to Ryan's this fall. The sausage is just awesome. I'm worried there won't be any left before too long
