Must admit I'm not a Coyote hunter and am a bit confused by the wording?
"NOTE: It is unlawful, with the following exceptions, to allow the pelt of any furbearing animal to be wasted:
It is not legally necessary to salvage pelts of 1) furbearing animals taken in accordance with regulations authorizing control of problem wildlife, or 2) coyotes harvested, by residents, outside of public lands in the Green Area."
So can folks shoot them in grazing leases?
Or only in Green zones?
Or not on public land in Green Zones?

If you are removing furbearers under the authority of a Control of Problem Wildlife Permit you are not required to salvage the pelt. If you are shooting coyotes on private property, you do not have to salvage the pelt. If you are hunting coyotes on Crown land you are required to salvage the pelt.

There are a lot of landowner's that periodically shoot coyotes on their land and leave them where they drop......perfectly legal.

Wow!!!!

What a horrendous amount of misinformation! What a mess!

Best rule of thumb... don't believe all the garbage you read on the Internet, go read the regs

I actually posted exactly what the regs have written in them, so if you have a more informative document that clears up the public land Green Zone jumbo that would be great.
I think Hunter Dave's wording and explanation seems correct, and quite clear ,requireing no enigma machine to understand. And if he's correct, why can't the regs be as simple! Lol
