Wizard lake burbot fishing tomorrow.

My honey and I are going to try wizard lake tomorrow for burbot, any possible tips/ locations. Gives us a good excuse to try out the new underwater camera ! We have never tried this lake before but are both really wanting to catch a burbot, Thanks all and Merry Christmas !!!!!

I've had a bit of luck on the East side of the lake, fishing not far out from the boat launch (although I suspect that anywhere around there is just as good) in about 10-15fow shortly before sunset. I've been told that the fishing is better as it gets later into the evening, but have never stayed past sunset myself. Lots of little pike in there too. Caught them all on jigs and minnows, or else tip-ups with smelt.

Nothing says "I love you" to your girl quite like a Christmas Day Burbot! She might run for the hills as soon as she sees one on the camera (I sure know my gf would)!
