Default LXi ISSUES

My Marcum LXi digital sonar for some reason will not turn on.

I replaced the battery and that made no difference. It worked last time out for the first 5 or 6 spots I tried and then would not turn back on.

Anyone else have this problem and if so what if any is the fix.

Thanks

The little clips that connect to your battery aren't great, I have one battery I need to mess with once the unit is in position to keep it connected. Check the power connection to the head as well if you haven't, they can back themselves off. Other than that you may have a short in the unit.

Believe there's an inline fuse on the battery leads.

Did you make sure to use the right battery and replaced the cover properly? If so and still doesn't work, then call Marcum may have to warranty it.

From the manual:

Remove the battery door located on the lower backside of the unit. Insert a coin into the coin slot and turncounter clockwise. Place the coin under one of the slotted corners and apply gentle upward pressure untilbattery door opens.

Place lithium CR-P2 battery into the molded battery compartment. Replace batterydoor by applying gentle downward pressure with your finger while turning the coin slot clockwise until you feel a gentle click.

You are now ready to use the LX-i to obtain depth readings. The battery will lastroughly twenty hours of continuous run time or multiple years worth of depth readings

I don't see any clips that connect to the battery and have no idea where you would locate an inline fuse.

The main head looks like it may screw off but if it does it is being quite stubborn for sure.

The battery has been replaced properly and the cover fits back on nice and snug
