Default American English coonhound x bluetick

Picked up my little girl Daisy yesterday. First day at home doing really well. Amazed at her size for a 7.5 week old puppy, 18.2 lbs.

Great looking pup, it would appear you may be training it to shed hunt? Can one hunt anything with the blue ticks other than Cougars?

Yes I have started her on shed hunting. Lucky for me I have hundreds of acres out my front door. Gonna also start her soon on blood trailing, to find game. once she's big enough I'm planning on getting her trailing cougar urine. I once saw a darker, possibly black one close to my place once. Lucky for me. The oilfield has slowed down and gives me the time to train her. I honestly thought a hound would be noisy, she hasn't made a peep, and already comes, sits, laysdown, and knows potty, then outside. So far been lucky.

Hey codeman thanks alot, I have a Bluetick who's just bout 5 months now, looking to get her a partner in crime. And like you said it's surprising how fast they do learn and how quiet you can teach them to be at home.

Careful on that one...technically illegal with big game animals exc. cougars.
