If you are talking about a BC resident hosting a Canadian non resident of BC its a no go for grizzly and pretty much anything on a draw or quota, like sheep. If your are talking about a non resident alien, then you have to go through a G/O and use their allocation. Clear as mud?

Just so everybody is clear an outfitter can take non resident Canadians or non resident aliens on a grizzly hunt.
The Yukon is the only place where a resident can host a non resident Canadian for Grizzly. But only in a small area around Whitehorse and now the special host guide license besides being limited to 100, is also on a lottery system.
I'm guessing that before too long the Yukon will also completely eliminate these tags as well.
Best bet is to book with a BC outfitter and get your bear before prices climb anymore or they cut out the hunt completely.
Fortunately I happen to know an outfitter that has a spring grizzly hunt available. PM for contact info

I should have mentioned the Canadian Non BC resident thing. Sorry about that Tork. How many tags are you allowed and where is your area if you don't mind me asking.

No worries sir, just wanted to make it clear
I have 4 Grizzly per year on quota between my two areas bdub. I just had one become available in my peace country area south west of Dawson Creek. It was sold but the hunter switched to a moose combo hunt next year. So I'm looking to hunt him starting around May 10th or so. I'm only allowed 1 per year in this territory so the hunting pressure is fairly low on these bears. My northern area is along the Yukon border in BC and I have 3 per year on quota there. Most are sold as combos with moose in the fall, we don't hunt spring bear there because I'm busy with my other area then.
I don't mind you asking at all

Liard River Outfitters
I don't have my sponsor deal in place with the forum yet so I don't want to put the website up on here. But if you typed www. then the name of my outfit in lower case letters with no spaces, then typed .com after it you'd likely be there

Thank you martin
I've never done a Grizzly hunt with hounds but my houndsmen has, so I'm looking forward to it. He assures me the hunt will be exciting
I think we're one of only 3 or 4 outfitters in North America that offers a grizzly with hounds hunt.

That's the point TM, like a scene from an old Winchester metal sign with the dogs barking, the bear swinging and the 30-30 lever getting hot !!!
At least that's what I'm envisioning in my head lol

I'm not sure if I understand what you mean sir ? Are you talking about the provincial royalties due if a grizzly is killed ? Or are you talking about the trophy fee that I charge when a grizzly is killed ?
