Default wolf genetics research

I have started a project looking at wolf genetics in Alberta and BC and am looking for hair or tissue samples from wolves that have been harvested.

If you take a wolf this season and wouldn't mind sending me a sample send me an email. Even if you don't want to send any samples I'd still be interested to hear about your success.

I would require a piece of flesh (tongue, muscle, whatever) about 1x1 inch in size, or a piece of the hide about the same size. Freezing it immediately after collection will ensure the dna is preserved. The other option is for me to collect the skull and remove the samples myself. I would be willing to clean the skull in return for any samples.

If you want to know more about the study I'd be happy to send you more info.

My email address is wolftrack@wildmail.com. Hope to hear from you.
