Default Zeiss customer service

I read a thread last week about the lousy service a guy got from Zeiss on a scope issue.

I have some Zeiss binos that I got about 35 years ago. They came with a lightweight leather case that stays attached to the binos. The zipper crapped out, so I emailed Zeiss.ca and asked about buying a replacement case. Ten minutes later I got an email saying that case was no longer available, and had been replaced by a cordura case. I asked for pricing and was told 'no charge'. They just needed my address.
Case is in the mail, no questions asked, no shipping, zip.
The whole exercise took a half hour of emails.

I have had good service from Leupold and Bushnell but I'm not sure where I could get better service than this.

I have never heard of Zeiss prior to your post.
Customer service like that, paired with a product that has lasted 35 years? I'm going to check them out.

Congrats on the new case.

I have a set of Zeiss binos. they had a few issues including a damaged tube, that while I don't know how it happened, was obviously my fault. Sent them in the see if they could be repairees. Brand new pair showed up in my post box. Doesn't get any better than that.

I had a pair of 8x30 binoculars that got in water which ended up inside the binoculars. Sent them away and they were replaced with new ones no questions asked. They were about ten years old.

they are excellent... amazing color definition and outstanding performance... great in fog and low light conditions...

germans don't joke around!! if it has their name on it, it's worth every penny you paid for it!! and if it has issues, they'll stand behind their product!
