Default Ravin R-20 Crossbow

A friend of mine has this crossbow, I am assisting with sighting in, he is not interested in shooting past 60 yards for hunting.
1. The sight tape indicates 429 feet per second. He's hoping to only use the 5 reticles on the scope: 20,30,40,50,60 yards. I have shot already at 30 & 40 yards with filed tip only, will need fine tuning with a broad head.
2. I was told to only use a mechanical broad head, I know another guy that has used Montec G5-125 grain with good groupings.
Any tips from folks that have or used this style of crossbow?
All the best !
