Fishing was slow but I caught and released this one, around 14", and a couple slightly bigger ones that I didn't photograph. I don't know what constitutes a big brook trout in Alberta, but these would be among the biggest brookies I've caught. Despite the weather being a bit unpredictable I think this was one of the most enjoyable May Long trips I can remember. Hope everyone else had a good one.

Yeah, that Mitchell as best as I can tell was made between 1946 and 1954, old enough that it has no s/n or model number on it. Try and find a modern reel that will still be catching fish in 70 years.
