wasn't drawn for first time in 3 years :/
Put in with my brother, girlfriend and dad for class A and B with pigeon as first choice and lac st anne as second, had a priority of 0 due to my brother never putting in a draw before.
Sure enough Wasn't drawn for the first time in 3 years which is funny cause most years im drawn for pigeon with a priority of 0... go figure hope to get my unsubscribed tags on friday...

Wife and I both awarded Class A for Pigeon. Still wondering if I should have went for Gull but Pigeon is just so much closer to home

Sour Grapes
I tried for the 2nd year in a row for Class A tags on Pigeon. We catch hundreds of walleye there every year-a lot of which hit that "A" required length. Waiting 3 years to pull 2 fish out of that lake?! That's nuts.

That is what happens when you apply for the same tags everyone else does...

Sure I get that. But three years on that lake when it used to be an annual slam dunk. What's changed? Certainly not the walleye numbers.... are applications that much higher 3 years later?
Pigeon can handle a slot size daily limit. Now I'm no expert as to speculate what that would exactly look like. But 3 year wait for 2 fish there is absurd

Have to agree with you Wild. At times you have to wonder what the reasoning is behind some of the decisions made as to what you can and cannot keep. They probably could put slot size retention harvests a a number of lakes for even one year and also on the NSR. Those poor pike are getting smaller and skinnier every year at Lac St Anne. Oh well it is what it is. Just have to drive a little farther to get to a lake where you can catch a keeper.
Congrats to everyone who got the draws they wanted. Our group is quite happy.

I put in for myself (A's) and my two kids (B's) at Pigeon - none of us were drawn. Can't complain, we've had a pretty good run leading up to this year. Hopefully we can get in on some underdrawn C's, as I've really been enjoying our annual March Fish Fry. On that note, remember that the latest you can purchase your tags is March 15th. We planned our fishing trip a bit later this year, after the 15th, and we weren't able to purchase/use some of our tags.

In my case, I was drawn 3 years in a row at Pigeon for "A" tags ...... go figure ..... luck of the draw I guess. A nice feed of Alberta walleye every spring for me.
This year, for the first time in 4 years, nothing awarded, but I'm OK with that considering how lucky I had been.

After not being awarded last year, I was awarded Class A for Lac La Biche! Not my first choice, however, equally thankful to be able to enjoy them this year just the same.

Just bought a C undersubscribed for Lac St Anne - at least my kids will be excited to keep one.

It's not a lottery so luck really has not much to do with it (it does a little for the lowest drawn applicant pool). It's based on priority.
I also had A tags on pigeon at will before last year. The priority should dictate i draw this year unless of course they have decreased allowances(which would be nuts) or there's just waaaaay more applicants. At a P1 I should be ahead of all the P0 basically.
Did anyone draw class A walleye at pigeon with a P0 this year? I would be interested to know

I agree, has to do with less A tags or more applications !! I just draw for all classes now, increase priority on 2 classes I don't get drawn for. B for Pigeon this year !!
