Where did you get this # from?
It’s actually higher than that. As of June there were 330000 registered medical users in Canada. There is a more recent article in the post that quotes those numbers.

Anyone been following Aphria recently. All pot stocks have been taking a beating but this one is getting hammered. Allegations of fraud by a short seller related to their purchases of assets in the Jamaica, and S America and ?

Short selling is a dirty business. Borrow the stocks, sell them and then trash the company. Buy the stocks back at a discount and give them back to the lender. Seems very underhanded to me.

What if they expose fraudulent practices that may be going on? Most of them have a legitimate argument. From betting that the company is just plain overvalued, to believing and betting that something fraudulent is going on. I remember the Sino Forest case pretty clearly. A TSX listed company involved in forestry in China. Outright fraud was exposed there. In the case of fraudulent activities, long investors are going to loose either sooner or later.

On the other hand, Gold is setup for a run, especially if USD loses strength. There are a lot of junior miners that are undervalued right now.

I hope you did end up putting some real money into Aphria Fishtank!
I threw a couple grand I had kicking around at it. Managed to get in at $5.51.

Looking around for my next buy. Eyeballing Choom (CHOO) and Weekend Industries (POT).
