Default licensing a boat

Well I bought a used boat out of sask and its never been licensed. Thot I'd do the right thing and get legal. In trying to find a compliance label number I realized that it doesn't have a Canadian comp label. Does have a USCG label but it has no number. Anyone have some insight on what I need to do? online searches have left me more confused that when I started...not hard to do. Really would like to get out with my boat and not sure how to proceed.

Thanks

Jumping through the hoops
I had to renew mine recently my compliance label was covered so I just sent them pictures of my drivers license and a profile picture of the boat along with the hull serial number.

Hull Serial Number (HIN) or Compliance Label Number (if available)

The license expires after 10 years it's a $250 fine

I just registered mine and it did not have the compliance lable. On the on line form I just left that one out. No problem very easy and got the temp license within a few hours and the perm. within a week. Very easy just google up boat license and it will lead you to the site. Easy and free.

Once I realized that the compliance label # was on optional field I that it would be easy. There must be an issue with the website cause i have filled out the info about a dozen times this evening and haven't been able to get it done yet. Keep getting error messages on the second last page. The one that you attach your documents to. Try again tomorrow I guess.

Thanks for the help
