Default Anyone been out to Miller's recently?

Super Dave and I are headed out to Miller's this Saturday. We have some new secret weapons to try. Hopefully, we start hooking some more 17-18" rainbows, or bigger.

Anyone care to share some recent experiences on the lake?

I was there a week or so ago and very slow, did manage to hook a big one and line snapped ... I will be trying out the river myself here soon, heard of some decent spots near Hinton...

What are your new secret weapons?

Yeah . . . Millers' would probably be slow right now. Give it two weeks, and you might be able to take the boat, or float-tube out.

If I was going ice fishing for trout this time of year, I would go to Carson. You can murder them there.

They like to bunch-up right by the main boat launch in like 15 FOW.

I tell you what the secret weapons are if they work.

We're looking to catch bigger trout as opposed to lots of trout. Is Carson as good as Miller's for bigger trout? Also, we've heard there's some bigger trout in Lower Chain. By bigger trout, I mean 17" plus. Carson seems to be full of 10-12" trout. Bear in mind I'm pretty much a nube as this is my first season on the ice for 35 years and might well be wrong on all counts.
