Default Quad trailer recommend?

Where should one look for a quality trailer for the quad?

Mostly farm use, hauling feed, fencing materials, yard cleanup etc.

I’m seeing plastic tub trailers also interested in aluminum box trailers?

Thanks

If you have any side hills , you need to go on
It would be best to get one with tandem walking beam axles , they do not tip very easy , compared to a regular 2 wheel one that falls over very easy.
I have one metal and one aluminum, both are good , I use the metal one for loading moose when we’re hunting as it doesn’t bend as easily, both are great with the dual wheels

Not sure where you are but I bought a tandem axle steel trailer from Trackside in Olds many years ago. Have used the crap out of it. Worth every penny

Paddle plastics sell a very nice tub trailer with lid. Works great for hauling in camp.

Aluminum is more money but they will last for many years, light weight, no rust. I've had mine for 20 years and it's still a great trailer. I just have the single axle because I haul it for hunting and wood cutting so I can flip it upside down and load it myself. If your just using it around the farm a tandem might be better.

Years ago I purchased two Rancher model, aluminum, walking beam tub trailers from B & H Contracting out of Alder Flats, great service, I purchased spare hubs, bearings, and tires they delivered right to the house on a piggyback delivery going by.

Use them on the acreage, hunting, fishing, and trapping. Built to last.

Not sure if they are still around or not, if they are, that is where my money would go should I require another.

I also have the Paddle Plastic one. 8 or 9 years old now and never an issue. Great frame and tub which also dumps which is great for cleanup or firewood etc, the lid they provided, not so good. Was very sloppy fit and ended up replacing it. Tandem, walking beam axle is night and day better over rough ground.

We have taken a paddle plastics tub trailer and put it on its side against the back of a very large bull moose. Take the quad and put it on the opposite side the moose. Wrap the winch cable around all four feet of the moose and start winching. I was a little sceptical but the trailer held up just fine.

I have a tandem walking beam with the polyethylene tub that I bought used off a fella a few years back for a great price(not sure on manufacturer).

I've had it loaded with green firewood, moose, camping gear/aluminum boat on top and lots of acreage tasks which have taken it through many scenarios.
It always performs like a champ and has been a great investment.

My friend has a single axle and it is far more rough/bouncy/tippy for your gear than the tandem IMO.....

I haven't looked at these or know anything about them but I see P.A has these on sale at the moment for $1,049

Might be worth checking out.

I have a tandem axle dump trailer with electric tilt that I built from an old utility vehicle.

It works well and all it cost me was a set of take off quad tires and a little cutting and welding.
