Default New gun on order!!

I can't wait! I Ordered my new cooper from Prophet river last week.

Cooper Model 92 Back country in a 280AI. Also Ordered the new Leupold VX6HD 3-18/44 with the Talley light weight rings.

It will replace my current cooper excalibur 280AI that wears the first vx6 3-18/50.

Not trying to think about it too much but there's sometbing about a new rig!

the model 92 is coopers light weight rifle. ((2 ounces) As far as I know the only thing that's the same between the two would be maybe the action?

Nice buy! I've been toying with the idea of a cooper for a while now.

Do you mean 2lbs?

I had an Excalibur and it was super accurate, if it was light I'd still have it.

How long until you're going to be posting some pics of that beauty???

I meant to type 92 ounces. Hence the name model 92. When she's in my hands I'll post some pics. I'm hoping for 2-4 weeks. I still haven't even handled it, or seen it with my own eyes.

I had that same scope with an illuminated B&C reticle, loved it. Would really like one again but if they make it with a fine duplex but a similar reticle. I just like very fine crosshairs.

Congrats, sounds like a nice rig. It is definitely on my "wish list". Please post some pics, when it arrives.

You have more patience than I! I would have had it shipped to my house and I would have played with it for a week before sending it for paint.

Be sure to post some good pics when it arrives!!

I’m also a bit curious why you’d wait a year as opposed to a build here in Alberta? Is it cheaper to bring in a Cooper?

I just really like my Coopers. On top of that it was a fairly new firearm from Cooper and I wanted to order from Prophet River because of my dealing with them is the past. Prophet Didn't have any in stock so I had to order. It's a tease having to wait but I really didn't mind.

The only thing I had them made to order was the length of the barrel. I wanted an over all length, with the brake at 24". The standard size is 24" plus the brake, so around 26".

What is it about this particular firearm that made you willing to wait a year?

Looks great. How's she shoot? How's the recoil in that light of a gun in that chambering?

It feels very well balanced and handles nice. It just came in the mail this morning and I only had time to mount the scope before I had to leave for work. Ill get out in the next week or two to run a few rounds through it and then start with my ladder test. Waited a year because there wasn't much of an option.
