Can't speak for the Stingray or Mako but I have the 10" 51cc Shark and it is a powerhouse. Fairly heavy, powerful engine, I'm 170 pounds and it will spin me around on bare ice if I don't bring cleats. Unless you're a huge guy I would stick with the 51cc over the 71cc. When the ice is almost three feet thick and you have to reach down low to finish off the hole it can be a bit unwieldy. That being said it cuts very well and starts up with one pull once you get it warmed up.
The 'hyper coil' is a little different than your average pull start, you don't need to really rip it very hard, difficult to explain but if you can give it a solid pull in the 'sweet spot' it'll start easy
