I am hoping for a nice day and a BBQ. Watch the grand kids get into mischief and smile at Papa when the get told to settle down. Doesn't get any better.

My kids are all playing ball, and I'm shooting trap.
For Father's day I want home runs for the girls, and 25's for me.

I'll start the day making crepes and maple moose sausage.
Put the kids to work putting up wood.
Wind down the day with a prime rib roast.
Head out back to the fire pit, enjoy a whiskey around the fire as the sun drops over the mountain in the Flathead Valley.
Cap the night with a sauna and sleep like a baby.

Oldest Child has his call to the Bar June 15th, youngest starts Med School July 5 at U of C, Middle child starts 3rd year law at U Ottawa in September....

I am truly thankful for my blessings and my Wife of 32 years who made it all possible.

I wish for all our Children the chance at the prosperity and opportunity that we have enjoyed in our lives.

That is enough for me.

I think a hug would be great, but with one in Cardiff and one in Regina, and me out here a phone call will be just grand.

I want the same thing that happens every year.

We do our annual Father’s Day Blackpowder and Skeet shoot, followed by a horse shoe tournament.

The son in laws roast a pig for supper, and In the evening we saddle up and ride for an hour or so.

And the best part, this is done in my backyard, so I don’t have to go anywhere.

IncrediGirl keeps asking me what I want for Father's Day... I draw a blank.

I mean, I can think of half a dozen things off the top of my head, but they are financially out of reach.

The most important things are the ones I have already... A gorgeous wife, fantastic kids, a comfortable home, a steady job, a freezer full of meat and a smoker to put it on.

This year, IncrediGirl and I will take a "just us" camping trip (first one in decades), and when we come home on Sunday, there'll be some time to get the grill going, spend some quality family time and maybe enjoy a libation or two. Perfectenschlag!

We are going to my son's place for french toast, bacon and eggs!
Then maybe I'll get the long rod and walleye flies out and hit the river

As for gifts… cash so I don’t have more stuff to sell, take back, and or re-gift. Just being honest.

Knowing that my kids are making their way in the world and are good humans, that’s a real gift that I can celebrate 365 days a year.

Hope you all have an enjoyable day.

I will be on duty, but at a place I love, with a crew of other proud fathers. My boys will be waiting for me when I get home. Seeing them and giving my wife a thank you kiss will be more than enough.
