Default Hot enough for ya?

Spend the day at Phylis Lake today floating around in the kayak, with the breeze it was not bad until I got home.
Nice red burned colour, even with some sun screen on.
I have to say this plus 30 stuff is getting a bit warm.
23-25 is my ideal temperature.

It's 35 C in GP, or 91 F for the old fart who can't convert....

It's what a buddy used to call 'Two Beer Hot', because he would always grab two cold beer at a time. One to drink, one to roll over his head, his chest, his armpits...then he would put it back in to chill again.

It also kept his friends from casually drinking his beers because you never knew where they had been. You can't imagine how we howled when somebody snagged one from his fridge and commented that it was salty.

I ran the dog, then mowed a few acres at the range early in the morning, then moved indoors to relax in the A/C. For the next several days, all chores will be done early.

35 C = 95 F. Even hotter for old guys that still use Imperial measurements...

In my younger days I worked in a generating plant where indoor summer temps got to 160 F. It took some getting used to before it was tolerable for an hour or so. Pretty sure that would kill me now.

I’m ok with up to 25C in a shade… anything over that - I turn into a jello… At 38 I think I will crawl into the basement and turn into a blob! Have an AC in the house and gosh I’m glad that I’m off for the next 3 days…

Have had heat stroke a couple times, don't like anything much over 20 degrees especially if out in the sun. Gives me headache, nausea and makes me cranky.

42 Celsius (108 F) on our covered back deck yesterday.

Watering twice a day - full saturation in the early, dry by sundown. Rinse & repeat.

Basement stays very cool in comparison. The Missuz refers to it now as my Dungeon. And I am happy to remain here sipping rum and ginger...

Try to stay cool folks!

And some people spend thousands of dollars to fly their families in winter to a hot destination.

Just an FYI over 6 months it’s Christmas season.

Pretty hot around here yesterday. 34/36 forcasted next few days.

I sprayed my driveway and mowed grass early yesterday, then retired in my shop, which stays cool all day long.

I don't have AC, but this is what we have been doing for the past several years when we get these high temps:

- 0900/0930...close all windows/curtains
- Have a fan at the bottom of the basement stairs. Turn that on around 1200hrs. Blows the cool air up.
- Around 1700/1800, turn the furnace fan on.

House stays "cool" and comfortable until we hit the sack.

All windows are reopened at that time.

I kinda like things under 23/25 degrees...
