Default Federal Conservatives - EPIC FAIL!

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/...rticle2412693/

Clearly she should not only pay the cost of the new hotel and the cancellation fee but also the limo and be banned from further travel for 2 years.

These politicians. Power corrupts absolutely.

What another shame.

Yep. What most us us could do with that money. And she's ****ing it away on non-essentials, thinking she's entitled to do so.

Guessing she thinks she doesn't have to pay it back , until the Liberals pay back what they were ordered to for Ad-Scam.. But yah, she's an entitled idiot and Steve boy could make some points here by using his right shoe...

I couldn't agree more, Oko. It is so unfortunate that sometimes cabinet posts get filled based on the optics of gender/race rather than the ability of the individual to manage the portfolio in the best possible manner.

Maybe that's why rob anders keeps getting held back.

"The cabinet minister responsible for delivering Canadian aid to the world’s poor"

Kinda makes you go, hmm? You'd think she'd be more fiscally responsible

I think the fact that she upgraded to the waaay more expensive hotel to get a smoking room was the biggest tick off for me. The government had to pay for the room she skipped on aswell as the one to upgrade because she's to friggin' lazy to walk outside on the patio to smoke? That's just blatant disregard for the purpose she was there for and her own country

Yah, I would say that is extremely irresponsible. Given her position in the cabinet, ridiculous. Funny though. The G&M hasn't talked about the Liberals lavish lifestyle when they held majority.
The media is biased. So I don't by the "oh my look at what party did what" crap.

I work in a large company here in Canada and if any of our members did any thing like that at work not once but even twice that is considered theft and you would be fire on the spot. Plain and simple you do not steal from your employer, even when its the tax payers of Canada. What does that say for her morals. She has done this twice and still has a job. You sir are too nice.

She should fire whomever booked the non-smoking room for her, it's likely that it was done deliberately. Someone that smokes and must do paperwork in their suites doesn't want to waste time stepping out onto a balcony while important paperwork goes unattended.

A few appropriate dismissals for incompetence and these fiascos wouldn't happen!!

I'm sure she was working on these issues while enjoying her $16 glass of orange juice!

They ate her alive a few months ago when she said she lied about changing a document and now this. She is just confirming what stupid is and it cannot be fixed.

As a true blue Tory who wants to see another Conservative majority, I think the PM needs to have a closed door one way conversation with his entire cabinet and backbenchers. He really needs to start making examples of ministers who draw negative press to the government. It boils me that these entitled idiots do things that they know will get brought out into the light due to the access to information act and the fact the countrys biggest journalism outfit, the CBC is a Liberal organization. A few choice words from Harper and a public shaming and they will sort themselves out.

I'm betting someone gets slapped for that. Let's be honest, if a move wasn't required and they had just booked her into the Savoy in the first place, none of this would ever have come out in the press or would have been thought odd. I'm sure federal and provincial politicians stay in $650 a night rooms every day and nothing comes of it.
