Haha. That would be pretty cool. Zero chance of it happening though, unless likeminded individuals with resources chip in, make one happen, and donate it to the park.

You mean like the metal horns they just put up at the round about in Radium or the life size replica at the info center. They also have some of there road killed ones mounted in side.

Unfortunately there is very little common sense when it comes to Parks Canada policy .

Replica
The horns in the middle of the traffic looked pretty cool when I drove through there a couple months ago

They are planning on having him officially scored, mounted, and hung in the visitors centre. All pretty common sense I think.

I think leaving a Ram of that size would just invite theft if left in the deepest darkest recesses of the park. It would land in someone’s private collection really fast.

I guess there has been a few close calls with people walking right out in the road to take pictures, and would guess there will be a truck going into them one day. Im guessing you have seen the bronze at the info center.

Heard today from someone that lives down there that he had a mangled eye and may have had an encounter with a cougar and he was also getting very thin. Not sure if this is true or not.

When they get that old, their teeth wear out and it's tough to get adequate nutrition.

As I said in an earlier post, scoring or publicizing that rams score is not in Parks Canada’s interest. The green people in the east have no interest in glorifying a bighorns score and glorifying hunting.
