I follow Darryn Epp on Instagram and he also stated that the ram is dead and in the hands of F&W

He will be officially scored when the drying period has elapsed.

Default Huh?

Did this Ram die in the Park or outside of it...If the F&W really have the horns, then how did they get them....only way would probably mean he died out of the Park. Not likely the Feds would have turned him over to them....you get your butt nailed to the wall if you so much as dare to pick a flower in the Park....Daring to be interfering with the natural ecology of it and all

That would make more sense.

Any reason why you cant say how he died or is it just a secret, or under investigation.

He literally just died. No drama. No big investigation. He just laid down and died.

I hope that he gets mounted!

But, is there extenuating circumstances that allows parks Canada to pick up found dead wildlife in a national park????
I always thought it was against the law for everyone?

Well that's a dang shame. But everything has its time. Would personally rather of seem him carried to the deepest recess of the park and left there. Let him have eternity where he leaves rather than just mounted gawked at or stuffed in a room somewhere for a select few.

He outsmarted every predator, hunter, and vehicle he ever encountered. Let him rest.

There should be no special reason for park officials to pick up wildlife in the park. They should all abide as the rest of us do. No other rams get picked up as far as I know by park officials. By law he should have been left where he was found, that would have been the best. I guess though depending where he was found. I've heard a few places and a couple of them he would need to have been moved.

Should give that ram the recognition it deserves by scoring it for Boone & Crockett. To be forever remembered in literature. 15yrs old is an amazing feat in this day and age.

The sheep doesn’t need to be scored. He is already a legend.
Boone and Crockett is not important.

If it’s not scored and on display
It will be forgotten very quickly

He could not have been left where he died. Personally I think common sense says put him on display.

common sense yes put him on display, but we know how much common sense is around these days. I'm sure if he goes on display they will do the right thing. i'm torn on getting him scored though, as stated above he is already a legend in his own way. Could a park ram qualify for boone and crockett?

Yes on display in the park would be best. I don't think the Sheep Foundation or Fish and Wildlife need another ram.

Would be good to put him on display in a popular and accessible public building

A life size metal replica outside would be nice also
