Default Buoy Markers

Just wondering why in Alberta there are no buoy markers in the Lakes or Reservoirs, most other provinces have them. Are we not allowed to put them in? Or because we don't have water ways (connecting lakes) and just standing water? What are your thoughts ? If possible who can authorize putting in visible buoy markers? We have enough boaters and knowledge (just on this forum) of most lakes in Alberta to get the bad spots marked.

Partly because of changing water levels.
"Safe to run over this spot today but not next week."

And a responsibility thing, you mark one area and not another someones gonna get sued.

Kind of sucks its come down to a legality but you are most likely right.

I have for years considered marking out the alberta beach ridge, as i know it has claimed lots and lots of props and motor legs.
