Back in the day ,we would just shove our barrels in the air conditioning vent of our car after 3 shots.

I guess the barrel cool down thing is underway.

It seem to be working.

Battery operated air mattress pump with adapter.

I didn't get elaborate in my use with the pump.

I just point the spout at the chamber and let it buck.

About a minute cools things off pretty fast.

Keep it simple works for me

Peltier coolers might work and would not require fluids, something like a Lewis gun air cooled jacket combined with Peltier units. Hook up to a car battery and start shooting (patent pending).

What about a can of duster? lol
Aerosol cans of air come out extremely cold.
A modified case with a tube hooked to the aerosol can would be slick.

When we're popping the Gophers in the low lands, the best cooling down tool is the creek.

And the 10/22 comes out pretty clean after the submerged trick. Ha.

Default M1-9

Have been reading all replies with interest.

Have bought my test gun, a good used Chiappa M1-9. Looks like an M1, but is in 9mm Luger. Which also means I'll now be reloading 9mm Luger too.

Decided it will be water-cooled, well just because I like the idea of water cooling, old times sake and all that.

The water jacket will mean part of the existing stock will be gone, but that's OK, it's just wooden parts to cut away.

Will start once snow flies.
