It runs from Elk Point to St Paul then to Cold Lake or Wasketeneau(?). Old railway line with tracks removed, but bridges left. Supposed to be very scenic, about 200km of trail.

Default iron horse

hey i live in the area and ride the iron horse trail ocassionaly. it's okay with gravel trails, someplaces a little too much but it's okay. has a speed limit, supposed to be 50k an hour i think but is mostly ignored. most people are good only going a little over say 70ish but then you get some dumb kid on a souped up yfz or something ripping by at 120 or more. if you go by elk point there is the municipal campground i think it's called which isn't far off the trail, just a skip down the hill and across the creek to the golf course and ball diamonds and you sign in at the golf course. easy acess to gas stations and convenience stores at elk point and st. paul ends. it's worth the drive to go to the end of the line at heinsburg as it's really quite scenic. anymore info need don't be afraid to ask.
