Default Back to back bucks

Had a big day Sunday, and was lucky enough to tag 2 bucks approx 30 seconds apart.
I had been watching 2 muley bucks for about 1/2 hr, when 3 whitetails wandered into the open. I decided to take the shot at the whitetail, and after he dropped I noticed the muleys were up and trotting right towards me. When they stopped to look over at the fallen whitetail, the larger muley was standing broadside at 135 yrds, and offered an easy shot that I couldn't pass up.
What a day!

Haha, the pressure was on for an early buck since my wife is due with our second in mid Dec. She seemed pretty adamant that I wasn't going to be out hunting the end of the season

It's amazing how deer sometimes react to different situations, in this case in your favor but hey if you were not in the woods did it ever happen...

Well done!

I see that you took the pics yourself. Does that mean you were hunting alone and had to 2 animals to get back to the truck?

...Worth it!

That's pretty cool for sure. It looks like you were by yourself too so it likely was a bit of work after the shots.
Congrats and good luck with your new child when he/she arrives!!
Thanks for posting

Yeah, I was by myself. Made for a lot of work to get them out, but I did it with a smile on my face.

I have heard of double headers with deer or a moose and an elk within a short distance of each other, never had the chance yet.

Congrats, couple nice bucks there. Good luck with the new addition in December too.
