Suffield Cow Elk
Had a friend that did this hunt last year and said they were given 2 tags(per drawn applicant) for the base hunt. Does anyone know, or know how to find out if that is the case for this years hunt. In speaking with local fish wildlife office, they had no idea. Thanks in advance

I've contacted Medicine Hat F&W office and I was told that for Antlerless Elk will be 100 Licenses with double tags for each hunt.
Suffield is in their jurisdiction.

Sweet. Did this hunt last year and was great to see my sDaughter shoot her first elk. Not a typical hunt but awesome memories the two of us let alone to say the meat was stellar. This year I lucked out and I have no problem meat hunting and filling the freezer.

How do you know if you got the double tag, or do all antler less draws get two

My wife got a cow elk tag there as well for early December, never hunted there, any advice?
I've also been told it's more of a target shooting than a hunt, what do you think?

Why does everyone keep calling it a hunt when it's a cull not a hunt?

News flash,, any draw is a cull. Someone with some stroke has decided what numbers of animals are allowed in a certain area and tags are issued on a draw basis to maintain those numbers. The first few years it was fairly easy but is certainly not a sure thing now.
