I know what I would do if I found a set of white tail sheds even close to 200"....be looking for a white tail cape!

Nice heavy 4 point Jameson!
I've thought of getting a cape for a few sets I have but don't have the money to do it right now. Maybe in a few years.

Never hunted for one, what's your excuse for shooting a fawn?

Default Found dead head

Was out walking the dogs this morning and found this one. I might go get a permit and then grab it in the future. Looks young but nice genetics.

So, I have only seen this buck once last season, and one of my buddies saw him once last season as well. I've only hunted this land for two seasons, we've never got him on camera, or found his sheds EVER!! Until now..I didn't have my phone with me so I took these in the garage when I got home. I counted 15 points over an inch, he had two drop tines but one was broken off and his left main beam drops at the tip, and his front right main is broken as well.

Finding more sheds than last year. There should be at least a few shooters next year! Deer are hitting the bales as usual. Havent walked any bedding areas yet, just feeding areas and game trails.

Of the 3 matched sets I've found this year 1st set had one antler lying on top of the other, the other set was 5 yards apart, the other set was 20 yards apart. Gotta love it when you have a little luck I guess. First shed found was January 4th. Some "cross-country" snowmobilers have been checking my spots too...still doing ok though.

The set at top of pic from winter 2012. Set at bottom of pic from winter 2013. I believe its the same buck. What do you guys think? Glad I let him walk this past year, I'm hoping he is fairly impressive this coming season.

This was my most successful 2 hour shed hunting walk yet!

The middle deer head was a set of sheds I had mounted. It's always nice to find fresh ones. Would gross around 185 if I remember correctly, including inside spread. And if you like brow tines this deer is for you.

Well it's finally march hopefully this thread will pick up a bit as the horns start falling more frequently. Between my brother and I we had a good early season with over 30 to hand already but looking forward to the "prime" time!!

Good luck and happy walking

Seen two deer run down the trail minutes before I started walking the trail. A buck still had one horn on his head. And its hard walking good way to sweet your bag off haha

Default Few more and a dead

Been out a few times the last few days and found these. The last one was run over by a tractor and had a point broken off.
