Angry Personalized Plates Pay OFF !!!!

I had quite a day today..... woke up to find that my truck was stolen from the front of the house over night. Was I ****ed off.. Spent the morning talking to the cops then the insurance people. I was talking to 4 or 5 of my neighbours about it and they were so surprised it happened in our quiet cul de sac. One of the ladies told her husband about it and ......... not 1 hour later he is driving down Deerfoot trail and next to him is a truck like mine. So he slows down to check the plate and then he sees it " MUDD ". He said he couldn't believe it so he tried to call me but was so pumped up he couldn't remember my number so called the cops. He was on the cell with them for about 5 minutes till ..... BAM !!!! Five cars swarmed the guy to take him down. When he first realized what happened he tried to get away and backed in to a van, damaging the tailgate and bumper. Then they grabbed him and I guess it was quite a show. So in the end I will be getting my truck back and hopefully all damages will be covered by insurance. I won't see it till probably Tuesday now but it is back. So like I said the personalized plate paid of!!! And maybe a little luck that in a city of over 1,000,000 people he pulls up next to my neighbour on Deerfoot..... Gotta love it when the PUNK is taken down...

Hey Right on, don't get to hear good endings to stolen truck stories too often. Congrats to you, and a beer or 3 to the neighbour.

I got to see the truck yesterday and it is not too bad. I will be getting new bumpers and a tail gate, also new stereo, And of course a new ignition. Also some touch up paint. The adjuster started it up and it sounded good but a mechanical inspection will be done also. The guy was 16 years old and I can only hope he learned a lesson from all this.
