Calgary moving company

Hi,

Can anyone tell me a good mover in Calgary....friends of mine are just moving houses within town and are looking for a trusted mover that's not going to rip them off.

Call Richard at Precision Movers 403-540-4393. He's professional and has been in the business a long time. Another AO member whom I recommended him to for a gun safe move thanked me for the reference as he was pleased with his service.

He is a friend and quasi-relative but I don't pass recommendations lightly as it also correlates to my own credibility.

We used Jay's moving two years ago. They were good. Crew was great. So great in fact I gave the driver and old set of golf clubs and the crew each got a bunch of tools for tips. I told my wife the only way I'm getting out of this house is in a pine box, but if we do move we'll be hiring them again.

Back in January marketplace did a story on shady moving companies, I would suggest seeing if you could find that episode. I definitely wouldn't use the company they were investigating. That company had several different companies under their umbrella.

Sorry I can't remember the names.

they showed how companies charged for overweight. they weighed their own move first then had this company come and move it. They put a tracker in the shipment so they could follow it. I believe the company charged marketplace for about an extra 2000lbs and they date on the invoice that it was weighed the truck had been sitting parked in Movie parking lot for 48 hours.
