Default LH Winchester Model 70 ?

I have tried to look up info on whether or not Winchester model 70 was ever available in a left hand .
As well are there any other mauser actions new or old available in Left hand other than Ruger?
Thanks guys,

Yup they were.
The new CRF models were.
The Carolina made ones aren't.

I've owned 2.
A 270WSM which I sold in a fit of mental collapse, and a .338 Win Mag which I bought from Chuck, and then sold to Chris P.

Good rifles, the best trigger in the world to tweek, but like I said the .270WSM was sold due to some sort mental issue, and the .338 was sold cuz WTH do I need one of those for.....

As for Mauser actions, it doesn't get any more authentic than a Zastava. True commercial 98. They come in LH in everything from .243 winchester to .458 winchester magnum.

I still haven't bought one but I hear good things.

The Zastava's aren't bad at all, but there is something special about the Model 70's. The trigger and safety being two big differences.

I guess there's the Montana actions as well, come to think of it.

My old 270WSM

And the old .338WM

If you like Zastava's read here:

Chuck doesn't have all of them......:-)

If you watch the scrolling pics on Kolenbrander's site you'll see a LH Model 70 Jan built for my son in 416 Rem. It started out as a 7 Rem Mag.

Sorry for my ignorance , but what makes them worth $1600.00 +? That's a lot of money for a 30-06!

It's not that price because of its chambering. . .

They are as scarce as hens teeth, thus they carry a premium.

It's not about you or me, it's about a piece somebody has on consignment.

Often there's wiggle room in consignment pricing, so who knows.

Maybe the owner really doesn't wish to sell it, but is in ca ca with his Mrs.

If the price is too rich for your blood, you have every right to keep your money in the bank.

I've got one in LH SS in 30-06 and I'm the second owner of it. You would have to have deep pockets to pry it out of my gun safe were it been sitting for the last nine years. It's in a McMillian edge stock right now. There hard to find and bring a premium price in the US.

Not to rich for my blood, I was just questioning the price on this particular rifle and what made them valuable. I had never looked into them until a few days ago so no exposure to going rates.
Is The model 70 a better built rifle than my Ruger M77 mark11 in 30-06?
Just trying to gain some knowledge before spending my money on any rifle that I am not familiar with.
Thanks guys

I was eyeing that LH M70, but simply couldn't justify the asking price. I'm a big fan of the Ruger M77, and would be happy with the Mk II.
