Default Coyotes, how many this year and what called them in?

Just checking to see how everyone is doing this year.

Since last week. I let the air out of four.

Called one out using a coyote challenge
Called two out using a mouse squeaker
Called one out using a coyote locater

How is everyone else doing? What calls are working for you?

Good luck out there

I've had terrible luck this year. Called a double right around New Years using pup distress, Then nothing until last weekend, I made 3 stands Saturday without a response then on the fourth a quad came rolling in. My mistake was I had gotten complacent and neglected to bring my shotgun and only had 3 rounds in my rifle. Only managed to drop 1 of 4 and it was the dumb yearling. I've watched dogs responding to my coyote vocals but turn tail and bolt at prey sounds. Guessing there's some local guys educating them. Usual year for me is 25-40 dogs occasionally as many as 50 yotes in a season.

I have noticed that too. I also noticed on the windy days, they tend to stay hidden and not in the fields mousing. On the clear sunny days, they are all over the place

My buddy and me went out last Sunday. Beautiful warm day, no wind, sunny. We have seen lots of tracks but had no response during 4 stands... Saw a pair of them running across the field but we didn't have a permission on this land, so we drove around it, started to call but nothing, not even a boo....

Called n three today with the snowshoe hair sounds on the Foxpro. The first one came in at a run in less than five minutes, the next two came in slowly and held up at 270 yards five minutes after the first shot.

What kind of call are you using? I use either jackrabbit or snowshoe hare sounds, and the coyotes aren't calling back. A couple have come in running, and several have held up at longer distances, but they all remained silent.

Called in 1 last Sunday with just a lip squeak (kissing the back of my hand). Came in sub 100 yards.
Called in two yesterday at the same time. Came running into the lightning jack. Only bagged one of the two.
Haven't been doing this long but have had good success with rabbit distress.

i've only got three, but the neighbor about six miles east of me has over 100.
He lives on the land and is out everyday, alot of his are snares.
I'll get started soon, there's lots of dogs around, and they will soon be dening (not sure that's a word) up.
I've shoot mine crossing fence lines, road allowances, aimlessly walking through our yard. no calls.
