Default Bing Crosby hunts sheep in Alberta 1947

OK, I shamelessly stole this from another forum, but worth watching. Love that camo and they sure didn't have to work to get their rams. Sulphur river is in what is now the Willmore wilderness. Those guys sure seem to be busy, trying to keep warm.

......I worked in a small town hardware store in southern alberta while he was bird hunting in the 60's. he came in with Jack Morton and I sold them shotgun shells. Was just a kid and didn't realize who I'd been talking to until later.

That was great. Looks like they were truly enjoying the hunt more than the kill. Pretty neat to watch all those pack horses as well.

Thanks for sharing Grizz.

Old Jack was a legend himself. Not many of them guys made anymore. Where did you work at?

raised at warner...worked at the old Ernie REID hardware through high school. knew jack, George, billy and a few other old timers before leaving for the best part of 40 years......when I retired and came back, most of them are gone. too bad, they won't be replaceable.
