Default Caroline camping....and ruffies?

Taking the family west of Caroline this weekend for a little camp over the long weekend. Never hunted out this way, but would like to bag a limit of ruffies at some point.

It appears south of Tay River there are roads for days. Walking trails too? ATV?

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

pretty much any gravel road in the forest will produce opportunity for grouse. You will find that the rarely used side roads are the best, but the higher traffic roads will still have the occasional grouse.

Get out and enjoy!

Excellent advice. The weather isn't shaping up well this weekend but good luck and have a grouse dinner for Thanksgiving.

By Tay River, many paths and roads off swan lake road that offer good grouse hunting. Like others said, get off the road and walk around and you should find some. There were a few logging fields were I was on the edge and was able to get a number of grouse. Anyway, in years past I've seen and harvested lots in around that Swan Lake road. Good luck and have fun.
