Default Fin rot

Seeing a few pike in travers with the lower fins rotted off. Today we caught several trout at Sundance with rotten pectoral fins. Is anybody else finding this in other parts of the province?

wab had many northerns with pretty severe looking fins and sores after the last big spill. the lesions had nothing to do with spawning. not to say toxins introduced into the water would........

How does spawn affect fins?

How big were the fish? A lot of the put and take fish look like hell with worn fins, some just stubs. Not sure what SRD was thinking, but they appear to have dumped a pile of 10" fish in Bullshead that have almost no pectoral fins, and tails rounded right off. Pathetic.

I would suggest the trout are fresh from the farm truck. The pike may be roughed up from spawning, but they should start looking better by now.
