The 3-0 handicap in the first was just to make the defeat more bitter to swallow for the Nuckleheads, and Ferkland skoring the last empty netter in a won game? Priceless. Bieksa can go back to Vancouver, if there is any smoking rubble left of it, and think on irrelevant players like Ferland going in to round two, while he cleans out his locker. They had me worried for a while, glad they pulled it off. Again.

GO FLAMES GO!!!!!!!

When your a kid, who is up past your bedtime.... Its kinda to be expected.
Hence he was given 2 options.
How many adults had the same attitude. If we look back at this thread I am sure we can find 1 or two who had the same feelings as a little kid.

I can't express how much I enjoy watching the knuckleheads loose in the playoffs again. Especially watching them choke on that 3 goal lead and the whole team/management knowing that they won't be back for a very long time.

"Ferkland's" empty netter was the cherry on top!

GO FLAMES!...

Not even trying to be a dick.
Just telling personal experience and saying I cant relate.
If you wanna see what being a dick is.....then get into the sports trenches.
It aint always a pat on the back and a cuddle.
Competition brings out many emotions.
And tears dont win the game.

To you it may be a game.
For me......it was a lifestyle.

Good game, proud as heck of Ferland. Kept his composure, was a factor in the win and a lot of character shown by the young ones and the flames tonight....also good to see Sedine come out and speak to the media with class....its easy to talk to media when you win but very difficult after a loss.

I wont kick a man when he's down..........so why start now. The flames were a better team, enough said and they will have their hands full in the next series.

Boy is he glad he decided to listen to mom.
I love the parenting decision, to me you are doing a fine job and the young lad made a great decision, sounds like he is really passionate about his team.

Luxor really sounds like he wants someone to ask him who he played for but I really don't care, it doesn't make you more of a fan. I am thinking you could be one of "those guys" on the red mile.

I am not a flames fan but I absolutely hate the Canucks, how can you watch this series and not cheer for the flames, the heart and determination is second to none. Bieksa will be dreaming of ferland for a while.

I know it's a team game, and Cal. has a lot of great talent (esp. that Johnny Goudreau sp?) but I honestly believe that if Ferland was out of the game, Calgary would have lost.
On a side note, I was in Calgary on saturday, and was surprized not to see more banners, signs, and those small "car flags" cheering on the Flames. I'm sure that now Flames are in 2nd round there will be a lot more signs, flags etc. being seen in Calgary.

Next up is the ducks....6 games at the most and Anaheim will move on to Round 3....

Big hill to climb for sure.
I am looking forward to seeing what happens.

Might get Gio back towards the end of the second round.

Lance Bouma's ribs must be getting better. (I am sure he broke something when he blocked that shot in the regular season)

Those are 2 great players the Flames are missing. They would help.

The city is behind this young group of fellows, lets see what happens.
