David, I'd be surprised if anyone shot more grouse in this province than yourself last year. You are one of the gooders.

Your lunch looks delicious.

You need to try that in a Chicken Parmesan.

Excellent report.

Great year for Ruffles down here too! Got my daughters and sons out for limits several times during the colder weather in December and January. The rest of our upland season was also great, lots of sharp tails around this year and some great pheasant and partridge days too. Can’t complain! Now to go get ready for BC Turkey!

Had a great year many limits filled from Sept to December. Best part is the Grouse stew. Had one stew almost every week thru the season. Lots of Ruffies and more franklins around Grande Prairie than I have seen in many years. Lots of ruffies out by Edson .
Weather was good for the most part so it is and has been for years my favorite part of hunting season.

Congrats on a great season. As far as lunch goes, one of life's many simple pleasures.

First hike: 9 miles, saw 8 shot 3, little rusty and slow on the gun
Second hike: 7 miles, saw 4 shot 3, much quicker

Didn’t get a chance to do a chicken trip into the hills. Next year

Made traditional kragenhun schnitzel paired with German beers…I will be putting a lot more effort into grouse hunting from now on
