She ordered them from a silversmith in the UK, where did yours come from?

I got a tie with that same type of fly on it ... Oh those would be nice to compliment it.... Very nice.

At the big Antique store on Calgary Trail just before Whyte. It was one of a kind but they had others.

Ooops I just seen after I posted you are from Calgary, but you would be surprised what you find at any of those stores.

I use the plain hat hooks and whip a safety pin to the flank sat and tied a doz once for a friends store. This Is one of a pair I thru together. Not too fancy just bright . ;-)

Or a kilt pin . need to practice more with epoxy. The fly in the pic is literally tied with the pin as a on going ingredient. As opposed to a pre existing pin. Sore very sore way to tie.

That what I was thinking as I looked at it. It looks brilliant! But it would be a challenge to tie and have it look nice. You did an amazing job. And, it looks like you ground the tip of the hook off, which I think looks really nice.
