Default Ministerial Task Force Final Report Caribou

Anybody review this yet. Little Smokey and A La Peche caribou ranges. The task force is made up of one from forest product sector and one from energy sector and one from GOA. The report made me puke a bunch of times reading it. Basically we just need to allow more harvesting of trees more industry, take care of some pine beetle trees and keep culling wolves and everything will be ok. Unbelievable! I tried uploading it but I think the file is too big!

Is this a PC report or NDP? Anything specific on the wolf cull?

If anybody knows how to load it for people to read I can email it, its a pdf file 8mb. I think this is going to be AB's answer to the federal gov on caribou recovery plan which has to be submitted by 2017!

RMM - did you get the report from the government? Just reading between the lines and considering how hard the scientific community came down on strychnine I will be surprised if they continue with it. The entire program was a sham from the start so who knows where it's going?

It is a gov report, my belief is this is what they will try to give the federal gov as a plan they commit to for caribou by 2017 like they need in place. Now will the public allow this to happen??? I can tell you it sure seems hard to get people to understand or care enough about it all, I can say with certainty when they move the program into other areas with caribou and other people start seeing the disgrace we have witnessed here they will understand why we are trying so hard to stop this crap

Rocky Mountain Music is right. If you are not affected by strychnine poisoning it's tough to comprehend. My line has seen 10 years of government strychnine. No wolves coyotes foxes or wolverines left. I go days without even seeing a raven. I've been opposed to this wolf cull for years-and it's sure not because I'm a wolf lover. It's because the strychnine is an indiscriminate killer of EVERYTHING.
As an example:We have a spot we dump carcasses that we have been using for 15+ years. Usually everything is cleaned up in a few days. In the last few years nothing is touched. Even after 2 weeks not even picked at by ravens. Nothing.
Really scary. I've never seen anything like it.

Curious as to why any oil executive would be involved, is that only to protect their expansion interests?

yes, because the new Caribou recovery plan would affect them too! Nothing better than getting the fox to guard the hen house
