Default Sail.ca Online Store Review

Hi, is anyone familiar with this store? Has anyone purchased from them and if so what was your experience?

I came across them by accident and apparently they are located in Quebec and Ontario. Their website is noted below:

Hi,

It is indeed a well known and reliable outdoors sports retailer with several stores in Quebec and a couple in Ontario. They have an interesting hunting department.

Cheers!

No experience dealing with them myself, but i checked out the site. Pretty good pricing on a lot of things. Win model 70 featherweight in 7-08 for $740! Might have to put in an order now...

I have purchased a lot of items at there store and have received good service. They are a large retailer. They often have some decent sale prices.

Bought a shotgun from them a couple of months ago at a price that was $400 cheaper than the next best. Great customer service, quick shipping, no complaints about them whatsoever. I'd shop there again.

They can't properly package a rifle to send it the mail. Then when I email them the damge on the stock, i got no response. Not sure if any other stores take the time to package stuff to endure mail deliver without damage but never going to buy rifles through the mail agian unless its packed in a hard case.

I was looking at a Browning BPS and it was about $40 cheaper at Canadian Tire. Looks like they have some good deals but i would definitely shop around.

Not very happy with Sail.ca, after ordering some things, looking forward to receiving my order, open it up, what is this, not ordered by me, after 2 calls and 3 emails, still no response , getting the feeling they don't want to talk to me, about my order, who works there, and what did you ship to me, look at my order, ship the stuff I ordered ,

Gotta say makes a person wonder WHY when with today s Covid induced mail order is the way to go sales model.
That a company that is predominantly mail order cannot remain soluble and has to go for bankruptcy protection.

Wonder how many mismanaged company's are blaming Covid 19 for their self inflicted woes.

The news report I read indicated 14 large stores in Ontario & Quebec with 1800 employees. So appears they were a lot more than an on-line sales outlet.
