Default 3 year Old son wants to fish

Just wondering if there are any good places to take little ones fishing between the Red deer and Calgary area. Tried a trout pond he loved it just trying to find different places to keep him interested. Are there any lakes with small perch that he could catchave bunch of ? Thanks for the assistance.

I would just make the trek to pigeon lake. Learn how to rig up a slip bobber with a quarter ounce jig tipped with a minnow for him. Fun all day. My little guys been catching fish since he was about two. Can't beat the excitement

I saw a poster at Canadian Tire, they have a kids fishing event in Cochrane at Mitford Pond tomorrow, kids fish for free up to 16 yrs I think.

There is McLean Pond which is in bragg creek. It has trout in it. I havent been there this year yet so I dont know if they stocked it recently or not.

You could also try to go to Chestermere Lake. Now this lake is probably more advanced as you would be fishing for Pike and there just arent that much fish in there.
