Default Eagle Lake boat launch?

Just wondering where the boat launch is located on Eagle lake east of Strathmore. Is it located at the campground or is there a public one which would handle a 17ft sylvan. Thanks. BEL

I'm sure others in that are in the area will chime in, but iFish map shows a public launch on the west side on RR245, south of Eagle Lake nurseries.

No matter the camp ground or the make shift launch you will not get a 17ft. in Eagle. A tinny or inflatable or canoe.

Problem is you have to back in so far that you will bury your truck in the mud before you get the boat to float. Best to think about some other lake.

FYI the make shift launch is at the end of the road by the nursery but again you will bury your truck trying

I would echo the sentiment above, I put my 17 ft Princecraft in the weekend before the season opened to make sure everything was working as it should (chestermere was closed and it was a close lake). On the west side I basically had to dump it off (reverse and slide it off the bunks), but getting it back on was the problem. As mentioned above it is so shallow you can't float the bunks without putting the truck way into the lake. I eventually found a deeper spot where the trailer would sit close to deep enough and I could crank it on and adjust with a 2x6 I have for just such an eventuality.

A bit of a gong show and I would suggest you consider how you are going to complete the full process before making the attempt.

My bathtub is deeper than that boat launch, don't fall victim to the black mud...many have made the mistake. A friend of mine had to put a new tranny in his Diesel from backing out too far and getting stuck.
