Default EPS Fish and Game Club 3D Shoot

Hi All!

The EPS Fish and Game Club is hosting the 2015 installment of our outdoor 3D shoot. This year we are trying something a little different and allowing crossbows for the first time. As usual, no broadheads and we hope to see everyone there!!

Poster and map attached.

Not that I am interested in crossbows myself but I am curious how this would work.....Are crossbows allowed to use rests or all free hand?

Default crossbows

Good Question...... Free handing rhymes with free balling.

Crossbows can be shot in any which way they are hunted with.

Kevin.

Hard on targets but a great idea so long people ain't walking the course with a cocked crossbow. I'm thinking it'll be a great way to turn people off the crossbow fad but be able to keep guys coming to shoots that can't pull a bow anymore.
I think I'll go to the shoot just to see how they compare

Like this? Cocked.........not loaded. This is an Excalibur commercial. Now, there is no benefit for this on a 3D shoot and who is going to walk around with a cocked and loaded crossbow? The others issue about crossbow arrows being hard on targets......why is this? I heard about this years ago, way before the rise of the 400fps crossbow. Arrows are typically .340 dia....the same as an A22 series arrow (22/64). Most bows are in the 250-400 class with very few of them shooting 400 fps and of those they really aren't the crossbow of choice for a 3D shoot. Myself.......I would be more concerned about ruining the fletching on the short 16 inch arrows I just made for my Excalibur Micro..........from shooting at soft targets

Yes. Same weekend as the Provincials which means I will have to miss the Provincials. Upsets me that its the same weekend. We have had this weekend for years for ourselves without being overlapped.
