Default Are legholds legal in any circumstances?

Haven`t trapped for many years but still have many No 3 and a few number 4 traps I used to use for coyotes on the farm and the neighbors at one time.
No cushions on these and I am sure some are 30-40 years old.
Any legal use or scrap metal
thanks
Rob

Check in the trapping reg's , they give a list of legal leg holds that can be used on certain species , most of those old long springs are only good for hanging on the wall , but some can still be used in drowning sets on muskrats and beaver . I hope this helps.

Are we really to trap by size and brand yet for coyotes? It was my understanding that if the trap has offset jaws, for the time being can still be used as the agreement has not yet been finalized, nor will it be anytime soon.

Again, the fine print that the regulations do not include in the summary.

I am going to check with local F & W because the way I am reading this the leg holds are still legal for coyotes and the soft grips are not mandatory yet.
