This is a test......photobucket works,...but I did go "ad free" about a year ago.
There was a guy on here looking for a "bear action"....he meant bare action but I had already found this pic.

Photobucket works fine for me as well - I can log in, view photos, download/upload and hotlink - and it's fast. Here's the thing, I've uploaded 400 megs worth of pictures - and I don't cross-link to forums or websites much.
This seems to be an abuse control issue for photobucket - and it's pretty much their own doing. Offer something free, and people will abuse it. Photobucket should have stepped in and did some heavy moderation years ago. Would have made life easier for them.
I can only imagine how much bandwidth photobucket and other image hosting sites burn through in the run of a day - they have to pay for this, why shouldn't you help with the costs?
Upload one picture - say 5 megs, photobucket compresses said picture to 1 meg - and you post that picture to AO for all to see. Thread gets 1000 views, that picture gets 1000 views - you've just burned through 1000 megs (1 gigabyte) of bandwidth because of one picture. If you're hosting 10 gigs of pictures and cross-linking them all to websites and forums? Do the math.
And people still complain because they don't want to pay. If you're going to move to imgur or other - and keep doing the same? Guess what, chances are you'll find yourself in the same boat.

Mine has been SLOW forever, now adds like crazy. Then a thing pops up saying for 1 dollar I can get rid of adds.

Oh, I feel bad for you, have to look at a few ads cause you have a free service. It's part of their money making. AO has an entire banner of advertising at the very top of the forum - does that upset you? Install an addon like adblock plus or ghostery if it's that big of a concern.
I don't abuse the service

I'm shocked to hear you say Photobucket is fast; it is dead slow, so slow I went to Imgur about a year ago. On my Android, Photobucket worked OK, but on my Chromebook laptop, it was useless. Imgur was much, much faster.

Just tried this out. It works perfectly. Insanely easy. When you upload a picture choose Hotlink for forums to get a big picture.
